Ideas for Christmas Leftovers for all the family

Ideas for Christmas Leftovers for all the family

December tends to be a month full of bountiful cupboards, over flowing with delicious foods that we do not normally buy. From mince pies, to every flavour nut imaginable, through to sauces and dips, chocolate and more. Fortunately, some of those items do not have a short shelf life, so we can continue to enjoy our extravagant purchases through January 2023 (subject to those starting a diet!).

But for the fresh items that we have just bought too much of and not able to finish, it seems a waste to just throw away in the bin. So we decided to do a little searching ourselves online for the best Christmas Leftover recipes. Here are our top five:

1. For a touch of spice try these Leftover turkey loaded nachos with a recipe from BBC goodfood

2. Breakfast on boxing day will be sorted if you try this Leftover Roast Potato Breakfast Hash

3. Perfect for pasta is this quick and easy Sprout Pesto!

4. This Slow Cooker Turkey Curry recipe also makes great use of any left over vegetables

5. The final one we thought should be sweet, so here it is a Leftover Christmas Pudding Sundae recipe by Jamie Oliver

This recipe would look fabulous in our palm leaf tumbler glasses as they make great sundae holders, and they are on sale at the moment for just £15

Be inspired and see what you can make out of your Christmas leftovers. If you have lots of leftovers and some spare time then perhaps you could make a big batch and give to a local shelter.
